Texas Education Agency (TEA) is calling for public comment on its proposed rules related to SB 12. Deadline for submissions is coming up fast -- Monday, July 27. Comments must be submitted using this form, either directly into the text box or as an attached document with a short intro.
These rules are in draft form and do not take effect until all public comments have been reviewed and final edits have been made accordingly. For now, school districts are encouraged to adhere to TEA's model language and the FAQ document that were both updated June 18, 2026.
